    This is a compelling read in the 1st book. You get interested in the characters and the mystery but as the 1st book ends there are a lot of loose ends. I enjoyed the series less as I reached the 3rd book. Basically you have to buy the whole Twisted Cedars Trilogy to learn the entire story and the original 1st book "Buried" mystery isn't solved until the last book. This trilogy should have been published as one book. I'm getting really tired of paying $16.00 (trilogy) or more for substandard stories. The last books are always repetitive and slow. I'd love it if the authors that publish like this would put their story(s) in one book, develop the characters by giving each one their own identity instead of them all looking so flat; one "face & voice" blends into the other. The only character in this series worth reading about is Dougal but even he falls flat by book 3.

    This book is the most coherent of the series and sets up a nice plot for the books that follow. Sadly, the remaining two books don't finish up the plot threads, leave gaping plot holes and just flat forget apparently to answer some questions that this book raises. Not a horrible way to spend a couple hours but don't waste money on buying they remaining books.

    Thoroughly enjoyed Buried, well written but most of all captivating enough to make you read as much as you can at any given time. I'm waiting for Forgotten and Exposed to go on sale. I will definitely buy. Being a senior, money is a little tight right now. Thank you though for the experience of getting to know these characters.

    I enjoyed reading this book, but the ending wasn't really an ending. The story just stopped and lose ends were not finalized. A cliff hanger, and not a stand alone book!😞

    I got this book for free and didn't have high expectations. I LOVED this book. It's everything I love about thrillers. There's depth and lots of twists and turns. I purchased the second as soon as I was done and read that in 2 days and now I'm on to the final book. Definitely worth every penny. $10 for the series feels like I'm stealing these. CJ Carmichael surprised me with this series. I cannot wait to read the third and final book Exposed. All the unanswered question will finally be revealed and I sadly don't want it to end but I can't wait to find out.

    I initially stumbled across this book by accident, since it popped up as a free download. First, this is by far a definite book they didn't need to make free, because I'd definitely have paid for it! I literally started this book two days ago, couldn't stop turning the pages until I got to the end. "Buried" is so smoothly written, you lose yourself in the characters. It's not until you check the clock, you'll see the time flew by. I'm a huge thriller fan, and was skeptical at first about "Buried", but once I gave it a chance, I've been texting fellow thriller fans to go get it! You don't get lost in description, which some writers tend to do, nor do you feel less adequate as a human being for large complex words stumping your brain...but when you finish the book, you'll be wanting more. And guess what? There is more! And I've already downloaded, and purchased them!
